Over the next few days I’m going to share bits and pieces of my personal experiences with birth control and how using natural methods to avoid pregnancy changed my life.
If you’ve ever held your breath while waiting for your period to show up; had a bad experience with hormonal birth control or are unsatisfied with your current method of birth control… you’ll find these posts of particular interest.
As your daughter gets older, she’ll need to think about how she will prevent pregnancy.
Will you help her weigh the risks of putting artificial hormones in her young body vs. the high level of protection hormonal options provide against unintended pregnancy? Or will you offer her a safe and effective natural alternative she can integrate into her life and have that knowledge available going forward?
You don’t want her taking risks and keeping her fingers crossed hoping for the best.
Can you relate to that feeling? I remember times when I lay awake at night worrying about being pregnant. Holding my breath and praying my period would show up. I even wrote a poem about it because I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this.
I also remember being at a crossroads in my life where taking the Pill was no longer an option and I knew I needed to find a different way. The things I discovered in my quest for information changed my life and I believe every girl should grow up knowing this information.
I discovered a different way of managing my fertility, one where I could live in harmony with my cycle and naturally avoid getting pregnant. I found it incredibly empowering. This information is the greatest gift you could give your daughter.
Stay tuned as I share more about my journey to unlock the secrets of my cycle and why I teach this as a way of life.
In the meantime, If you’d like to read my poem… you can find it here.
