Hormonal birth control for your daughter?

Hi there! Let’s talk about hormonal birth control. There’s a lot to say about it and I wrote about it in my blog. So I’ll just say this…

As with anything, there are good things and bad things about it and I encourage you to be informed and make the choice that works best for you. Only you know what’s right for your body and situation.

Someday your daughter will have to figure out how she will handle her fertility to avoid getting pregnant.

She’ll appreciate your input.

Hormonal contraceptives will shut her natural hormonal cycle down – In some cases, it can result in unanticipated long term side effects.

Many women including teenage girls will use hormonal contraception for a period of years before tiring of using artificial hormones and putting up with a variety of side effects like…

  • weight gain
  • mood swings
  • headaches
  • acne
  • loss of libido
  • not feeling like your-self

So when hormonal birth control isn’t an option for you… what do you do?

Go back to condoms? Use other barriers? Rely on withdrawal? Wing it? Depends on how much of a risk you’re willing to take…

What about your daughter? What if she doesn’t want to use hormones or can’t? Will she take risks too?

Yesterday, I suggested there was another way.
A way you could live in harmony with your fertility instead of trying to control and suppress it. A way you can enjoy your sexuality without the fear of pregnancy and without using hormones.

Tuning into my fertility is woven into my life. It’s something I do every day without even thinking about it. I’m noticing my cycle beginning to shift as I close in on my final fertile years.

I find myself reflecting on how this knowledge and understanding of my cycle has been an incredible blessing in my life and has been flexible enough to meet my changing reproductive needs over the years.

Sharing this knowledge is something I’ve been very passionate about for a long time because I believe every woman should grow up knowing and understanding her body and cycle.

That’s why I was thrilled to receive a phone call from a young woman I’ve known for years. She said she didn’t want to use hormonal birth control ever again and knew I could help so she hired me on the spot and told me to call her sister.

It turns out her sister just had a nerve-racking couple of weeks and didn’t want to stress out about late periods anymore so she signed up too.

Because learning these skills in a group of like minded women is a powerful way to bring this knowledge into your life, so…

It feels like a great opportunity to spread this knowledge further. You can look forward to learning some really cool stuff that you can pass on to your daughter.

Or better yet… enroll your girls in the course too! If they’re menstruating they’ll learn SO much from the experience. Even if not bleeding they’ll learn a lot.

Learning these skills at a young age will give her the opportunity to live her life in harmony with her cycle and give her effective natural ways to avoid getting pregnant until she’s ready to start a family.

It’s going to be super fun. Your granddaughters will benefit for generations to come.

Big Hugs,

P.S. I know the holidays are coming and this gift of knowledge could be the best gift ever! And a worthy investment in her future. Sign your daughter up now to reserve her spot.
